Leadership Meeting
Branding & Art Direction for H-E-B’s annual internal “Leadership Meeting” conference. Stakeholders sought a refreshed identity after the prior branding lacked clear direction and a strong call to action. The updated visual system energizes leaders to think collectively and proactively, reinforcing morale, communication, and strategic planning. The direction draws from Texas sports culture and H-E-B’s athletic partnerships to emphasize teamwork, collaboration, and shared strategic purpose.

The 2026 Leadership Meeting marked the first session with a newly appointed President, setting cultural and strategic expectations for the next chapter of the business. The moment required a thoughtful visual system — one that signaled unity, forward momentum, and confidence.
My work centered on elevating the visual identity and presentation experience for the meeting, ensuring communications were clear, purposeful, and aligned to the organization’s long-term strategy.
The design wasn’t just about aesthetics — it was about directional leadership.
While the President had already been announced prior to the event, this was the first Leadership Meeting in which she would lead. The branding needed to:
•Reinforce confidence in her leadership vision
•Support rollout of the Five Year Plan
•Create emotional alignment and morale
•Help attendees see a shared strategic path forward
Issues the new system had to solve
The previous agency-built “Cube” theme:
•Lacked clear connection to purpose
•Felt metaphorically ambiguous
•Generated stakeholder confusion
•Was executed due to time constraints rather than strategic clarity
The 2026 refresh needed to give leadership a visual platform that supported clarity rather than working against it.
•Build identity and presentation design around optimism, unity, and clarity
•Design a communication-first template system rather than “slides”
•Use tone, spacing, hierarchy, and color to reinforce content and direction
•Support morale and alignment — without theatrics, gimmicks, or spectacle
•Keynote presentation system
•Typography hierarchy optimized for long-distance readability
•Structural grid for charts, metrics, and storytelling
•Color system tuned for emotional clarity and projection scalability
•Modular layout for multi-presenter continuity
Everything pointed back to clarity + confidence.
•Improved comprehension and alignment among leaders
•Tone more aligned to optimism and the Five Year outlook
•Stronger cohesion across presenters
•Structure and clarity strengthened internal momentum
This wasn’t “decorating an event.”
It was:
•Supporting leadership communication
•Strengthening internal confidence
•Building visual alignment for organizational direction
The design system elevated the experience, giving the meeting clarity, cohesion, and emotional resonance — exactly when the organization needed it.
